
Dr J S Doyle
BM BS BMedSci DRCOG MRCGP FRCGP Nottingham 1983Dr Steve Doyle’s special interest is respiratory medicine, looking after asthma and COPD care in the practice. He has obtained his diploma in Asthma and COPD management.
Dr Doyle performs minor surgery and provides an acupuncture service to patients. He also has a further interest in men’s health issues.
Dr Doyle is an approved GP Trainer who is also involved in the training of junior medical students and training doctors. Following a peer review of his work and role in education he was awarded the FRCGP (Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners).

Dr D Osborne
MB ChB BSc Hons MRCGP Manchester 1992Dr David Osborne has worked as a GP in Rochdale since 1995. He has been an accredited trainer of new General Practitioners since 2003.
His clinical responsibilities in the surgery are Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension and Stroke.
He has a postgraduate Diploma in Minor Surgery and undertakes a minor surgery clinic at the surgery on alternate Monday afternoons.
He also works as a Lead Educator for Health Education North West and as a Primary Care Educator for the local GP training Scheme (Pennine North West)

Dr S Gadiyar
MBBS MRCP(UK) MRCGP DRCOG DFFP Mysore (India) 1991Dr Shalini Gadiyar has worked as a GP since 2002. She trained initially as a paediatrician in this country after qualifying as a doctor in India. She became attracted to General Practice after four years of hospital medicine and since then has gained experience in ENT, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is interested in women’s health and offers contraceptive and HRT advice, as well as fitting pessaries, IUDs and implants.
She gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Gynaecology in 2011 and her other clinical interests include family planning, mental health and dermatology.

Dr M Mudalige
MB ChB MRCGP Manchester 2004Dr Mark Mudalige joined the practice full time in October 2011. He is the diabetic lead and a GP trainer. He has completed a postgraduate diploma in diabetes and the Certificate in GP Education.

Dr A Simmons
BSc (Med Sci) MBChB MRCGP (2013) Manchester 2008Dr Adam Simmons joined the Practice in October 2013.
His clinical interests involve child health and he runs the baby clinic. He is safeguarding lead, as well as overseeing developments in the practice.

Dr K Cody
BSc (Hons) MB ChB Leicester/Warwick Medical School 2006Dr Kevin Cody joined the practice as a partner in 2015. He has completed the Certificate in GP Education and is involved in the training of new GPs. Dr Cody is clinical lead in palliative care and undertakes a minor surgery clinic twice a month.

Dr H Riaz
MBChB MRCGP Sheffield 2012Dr Hassan Riaz received his degree from the University of Sheffield in 2012 and undertook his training as a foundation doctor in Leeds. He gained his membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2017 after completing his training across the Pennine region. He spent two years in London post qualification before moving back to the North West in 2019 to join the practice. He has a clinical interest in Chronic Kidney disease management, is the Foundation Year doctors lead and sits on the Primary Care Network.

Dr J Oldfield
BSc Physiology, MBBCh Cardiff 2016, MRCGP 2021Dr James Oldfield graduated from Cardiff University with degrees in Medicine and Physiology in 2016. He returned to complete his Foundation Doctor within the Pennine region and his GP training at Ashworth Street Surgery, mentored by Dr Doyle and Dr Osborne, fully qualifying as a GP in 2021.
The Practice also employs 2 salaried GPs. Dr O’Donnell works 6 sessions per week, including a session at our Norden Practice. Dr Raven-Martin works 4 sessions a week, including a session our Norden Practice.
